I make ceramics and quilts in south-east London, based at the Ceramics Studio Co-op in Deptford. My pots are made in small batches of mostly wheel-thrown stoneware, with some hand built work, fired in an electric kiln.
Most of my pots are made with everyday use in mind. I like them to have shapes, glazes and patterns that make them quietly absorbing and a pleasure to have around.
I try to reuse old fabric and worn out clothes in my quilts, with the intention of transforming them into something useful and beautiful. Sometimes textiles can bring to mind memories or emotions. Quilts can be a means of preserving these.
